As a disaster professional in Florida, I’ve written county emergency plans, trained first responders, and served as the Special Needs Shelter Coordinator during Hurricane Milton. Previously, I earned my Master’s in Disaster Management at Tulane University in New Orleans, a city where disasters are part of everyday reality.
